Volyn Libraries Got Presents from “Dmytruk” Company - Books about Heavenly Sotnia Heroes
“Dmytruk” company presented 70 copies of the second expanded edition of “Heavenly sotnia” book and initiated a library collection replenishment campaign on September 25.
The initiatives reflected the social stand of Oleh Dmytruk and all the company team.
"Our country is going through hard times now,” says Oleh Dmytruk. “But if we don’t pay attention to children and youth education, we will have confusion and ruin in Ukraine a decade later. Young people should know the history and clearly, understand their present. One of the sources giving a complete understanding of January tragic events is “Heavenly sotnia” book by Iryna Solomko and Olena Trybushna. The other reason for this book to be a must-have is that unfortunately, we have many countrymen in Heavenly sotnia. We have to remember their faces, smiles, biographies. It is the minimum we can do to thank for their sacrifice in the name of better life for all of us.”
The book presentation was a highly anticipated event at the Book Trailer Festival “Book in Shot: new format” which took place at Volyn regional library for youth. Taras Skorupskyi, the head of ™ “Dmytruk” marketing department presented the book to Volyn libraries.
Besides, he announced the start of a campaign “Make your good mark at the library”. The goal is to attract Volyn people to Volyn regional library for youth collection development. Anyone can bring five interesting books to the library and get “Heavenly sotnia” book for free. Volynians can write the story of the book or write well-wishes on the flyleaves of the books they brought. So anyone can leave a good memory. 20 copies of “Heavenly sotnia” book were involved in the campaign so 100 interesting books can be added to the library collection.
Libraries gratefully accepted the gift. “Our youth gets so much information from the internet that our fathers couldn’t get through their lives,” says Mariia Makh, the head of Volyn regional library for youth. “But the biggest problem today is misinformation which gives the wrong perception of reality. Just libraries and archives show the full picture of the past and connect it with the present. This connection is possible with consistent library collection expansion. This question is sharp today but fortunately some philanthropists offer their help. We are sure that Volyn youth will come to our library to bring books, read new ones and pay particular attention to requiem book about Heavenly sotnia heroes.”
“Dmytruk” company joins to the optimistic head of the library and invites everyone to read the book “Heavenly sotnia” and to library collection replenishment campaign.
