Among 70 types of “Dmytruk” products guests chose those which taste with beer the best: “Nürnberg”, “Beef Thüringer”, “München”, “Thüringburg-bratwurst with cheese”, “Myslyvski”, “Jägerbratwurst with cheese”.

Visitors had eaten around 1,000 kg of “Dmytruk” sausages during just three days of the festival.

Beer program included exclusive beers from Germany and Ukraine. Except drinking beer poured into 1l beer jugs and tasting purely delicious sausages guests enjoyed amazing entertainment program: fun and contests from festival organizers and sponsors, performances of Ukrainian and foreign bands and artists (Mad Heads, Oleh Skrypka, Karl Khlamkin and OhneOpasnOrkestr, Bangladesh Orchestra, Flirt, Diadia Vasia, Animal Session, Svoboda and others).

“I used to visit beer festival in Munich once,” says Oleh Dmytruk. “Honestly speaking Kyiv festival is a way far from Munich fest. But if to look at the atmosphere, spirits of celebration and willing to live a happy life no matter what Ukrainian event will be a cut above.”

The home for “October Fest” is Munich. Beer celebration is held here since 1810. The grand wedding of Bavarian Kron Prinz was celebrated by all citizens of the city who were enjoying sausage delicacies, beer and horse racing to the full. Today festival is listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the most visited event. More than 7 million people come to the festival every year. Visitors drink more than 7 million litres of beer, eat about 1.5 million of fried sausages and chicken, bake about 85 bulls.

First “October Fest” was held in 2003 in Kyiv on the initiative of restaurateur with German roots - Eric Aigner - the founder of the most famous Kyiv pubs. This beer festival attracts more than 10 000 people each year.
