St. Nicholas together with fairytale characters met children at the gates. They spent a lot of different games outside, gave a ride on the real horse-drawn sleigh. They had games in St. Nicholas house where kids had to guess some brain teasers, competitions and fun. Of course, kids got hungry after. The most delicious meal you can have is the meal made with your hands. So children had the workshop where they learned to cook pancakes. After pancakes, tea and jam brunch kids were learning how to make handmade Christmas tree toys. Eventually, a little bit tired but extremely happy children got presents from St. Nicholas who wished them Happy New Year!

Teachers and tutors of  Lypliany Special Boarding School have been listening to long passionate stories about meeting with St. Nicholas and having fun at his residence. Oleh Dmytruk, the initiator of holiday travel, accepted thanks from the teaching staff on the phone. And no wonder because the majority of parents of boarding school students have no opportunity to make such presents.

“Winter is a time for miracles and dreams coming true,” says Oleh Dmytruk. “Kids believe in Christmas miracles especially sincerely. When you give them a miracle, you seem to get into childhood for a moment. I am sure that the wildest dreams come true when you believe in miracles!”
