«Lutsk Food Fest. Picnic» second gastronomic festival is going to take place in Lubart’s Castle on June 28-29. Serhii Karpiuk, the head of the organisational committee, told that the previous festival had gathered a lot of visitors, so they decided to make it a good tradition.

“We got many positive reviews as well as negative ones which we decided to turn in the right direction and fix all the lapses,” said Serhii Karpiuk. This time there will be an interactive area for children, a bigger number of places in lounge zone and work of volunteers at the entrance will be optimised.

In addition to the last year participants, there will be new ones. Guests from Lviv, Rivne, Ternopil as well as Lutsk cafe and restaurants are going to present their specialities. Specialities of Ukrainian, Mexican, Bulgarian, Hungarian cuisine will be available to try at the festival.

Festival novelty is the startup area for culinary enthusiasts. “Local chefs and people who like to cook but still had no chance to introduce their work will be introduced in this field,” said the head of the organisational committee and advised to send all participation applications.

One more new thing is the charity event. Famous journalists and politicians are going to take part in it. It will be a kind of culinary battle where VIP guests will sell their own made meals to find out who is the most popular among lovers of delicious food.

Lutsk state enterprise “Ukrspyrt” is going to make the presentation of its new brand “Nasha derzhava” on the festival.

Oleksii Veremiichyk, the head of Lutsk Youth and Family Affairs Department, pointed that first festival let organisers try themselves and see what they can and what they can’t. “We will improve everything; we are not going to stop,” he said.

The festival will bring “Music kitchen” as well. Andrii Kulykov, widely known in media circle, will be the host of the event. Many music bands are going to perform on stage including the leader of Lutsk band “Fiolet” Serhii Martyniuk.

Taras Skorypskyi, ™ “Dmytruk” brand manager and the head of the marketing department admitted that commercial part was not the most important for participants. “The most of participants and organisers agree that the primary purpose of the event is the development of food consumption culture and clear distinction between restaurant and street food,” he emphasised.
